Sunny Day

This square painting captures a bouquet of golden sunflowers and tiny white daisies in a simple mason jar. The sunflower is my favorite flower. Did you know that sunflowers move to follow the sun as it crosses the sky each day? Like a sunflower, I need the sun. I need fresh air and sunlight to keep me feeling alive and balanced and happy. Sunflowers are also a symbol of faith to me. They remind me to turn my face toward God. I know God is always with me, but sometimes I forget. Sunflowers provide me a gentle reminder that God has created so many intricate, lovely details in the world around us to bless us, and when we turn our faces towards God’s light, we will be surrounded by love and warmth. I pray that this sunflower will bless your day and remind you that you are beautifully made and truly loved - today and every day, just as you are.
